Hassan Yohanna Umar, an Orphan innovating with Electronics in Bauchi [THE INTERVIEW]

Necessity they say is the mother of all invention but in the case of want, Hassan Yohanna Umar plays around with electronics using local materials and innovations all by himself at the historic birth town of Nigeria’s first and foremost Prime Minister, Lt. Sir Abubakar Tafewa Balewa i.e Tafawa Balewa Town.

Hassan Y. Umar is an orphan that has completed National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering at the State-owned polytechnic ATAP Bauchi. He is a ‘Cult Hero’ among his peers for his creativity and innovative mindsets but lacks the financial supports to move his skills into something substantial for himself and his immediate community.

Beehive Gossips on her usual grass-root journalism had a little chat with talented Hassan Yohanna Umar as transcripted below…

  1. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!|
