The All Progressives Congress (APC) Bauchi State chapter have on tuesday lost about 7,000 members in Bauchi Local Government Areas of the state to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a twist that sees former Youth leader, Malam Adamu Dako officially collects his party membership card at the PDP’s local Government Secretariat Bauchi.
Mallam Adamu Dako refutes that the APC is a party housed by deceit, injustice and lack of democracy which prompted him to switch lane to the Peoples Democratic Party alongside his teeming supporters which flooded the secretariat in mass.
He also pledged to work with the party closely towards the success of PDP in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
Receiving the defectors at the Bauchi Local Government Secretariat of the party, Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed assured them of fairness and equity in their new party.

He added that the PDP remained an indivisible and united party in the state.
Represented by his political adviser Honourable Abubakar Faggo at the event, the Governor said: “Today Adamu Dako when one sees the mammoth crowd that accompanied you, he is reassured of the success of the party at all levels In 2023.
Fago, who was flanked by the Special Adviser Projects Monitoring Musa Ahmed Azare, said “As new members, I assure you of all rights that accrue to the rest of our members. We will ensure that you benefit from every opportunity regarding the welfare of members without sentiments”.
Malam Dako after receiving his PDP membership card pledged to register the remaining defectors at their various wards.
