
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi recently released an internal memo listing 30 offences that can lead to students being rusticated for a year or more. The memo was released after the 161st regular Senate meeting which was held on the 13th of April 2023. This blog post report will outline the 30 offences listed in the memo.
I write to inform you that the university senate has approved a revised student handbook at East 161st regular senate meeting held on Thursday, 13th April 2023 the following are extract of 30 most salient misconduct from the revised handbook. All students are members of the university community are requested to avoid such types of misconduct.

• Coloured hair styles
• Hair braiding for male
• Dreadlocks
• Spangled hair styles for men
• Earing for male/cowries for female
• Unconventional wearing of face cap/Fez cap
• Tattered jeans
• Micro/mini skirts
• Crop tops/jump tops
• Off-shoulder clothes
• Backless clothes
• Transparent wears
• Bum shorts
• Nose, mouth, eye extra rings
• Sagging
• Tattoo
Offences Related to Driving
The memo also outlines several offences related to driving, such as:
• Engaging in reckless driving
• Driving of car with tinted glass
• Driving/operating car with loud music
• Driving of car without plate number

1. Pressure for a Forced Sexual Activity (Rape)
2. Male Entry into the Room of Female
Male entry into the room of a female student is a serious violation of privacy and can lead to pressure for a forced sexual activity.
