#14thHeadies – Full list of winners as Fireboy lights up 2020! The 14th Headies Edition goes down in history as the very first time the award show goes virtual. Here is a round down overview of the Headies Award with a total of 27 categories to be won Fireboy leads with 9 nominations followed by WIZKID & Wurld nominated 5 times each as annouced in December 2020. Going into thw award finale WIZKID & Mode 9 holds the record of highest winners of the award with 9 awards each followed by 2baba with 8, Olamide, wande Coal 7, M.I Abaga, Psquare 6 each, Timi Dakolo & DAVIDO 5 each.
WHO HOSTED THE EVENT?
Hosted by Top Nigerian comedian Bovi and TV media personality Nancy Isime, the 14th Headies Edition revamp a new generation of stars emerging the new wave of afro fusions, songwriting and alternative music.

WHO WON BIG?
#14thHeadies Edition sees debutant Fireboy bags the highest number of awards(5) by an individual swooping the Best Album, Best Pop Album, Best R’nb Album, Best R’nb Singles, and Headies Revelation of the year Awards making history with two albums tonight followed by WIZKID with 3 awards swooping the prestigious Artiste and song of the year awards topped by viewers choice award, Simi also did well with 2 awards winning the song writer and collaboration of the year awards followed by any other winner with 1 each.

Omah Lay goes home with the most sort after SUV as he bagged the NEXT RATED Award category accompanied on stage were nominees of the same category i.e Oxlade & Bella Shmurda unlike the previous years when Olamide came up on stage to confront award organizers for not giving like kesh the award which prompted Don Jazzy to react with “Egbon Olamide if is the car you want come and collect the key, thank you” .
Brymo wins Recording of the year but was absent at the event, Niniola won the best female body vocal performance. Elsewhere to Hip hop I’ll Bliss swoop the prestigious Lyricist on the roll this time around, Falz Bop Daddy won Rap Single of the year shutting up competition from the cocky Blaqbonez, while AQ’s God engineering won Hip-hop Album of the year award
